Need a quick dinner after a busy day?
This Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry is simple, flavorful, and ready in about 15 minutes. Tender beef, crisp broccoli, and a savory garlic-soy sauce come together in one skillet for an easy homemade meal.
🛒 Ingredients — 2 Servings
- 250g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- ½ onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- Green onions or sesame seeds, optional
Sauce
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp water
- Black pepper
👨🍳 How to Make It
1. Make the sauce
Mix soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, and black pepper in a small bowl.
2. Cook the beef
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
3. Cook the vegetables
Add broccoli and onion to the same pan. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Finish the stir-fry
Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce. Stir for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
Top with green onions or sesame seeds and serve immediately.
⭐ ChefEase Kitchen Tip
For tender beef, slice it thinly against the grain.
Try placing the beef in the freezer for about 15 minutes before slicing. Slightly chilled meat is easier to cut into thin, even pieces.
Also, avoid overcrowding the skillet. A hot pan gives the beef better browning and flavor.
🥕 Make It Your Way
No broccoli? Try bell peppers, mushrooms, carrots, snow peas, or whatever vegetables you already have.
🍚 Perfect With
- Steamed rice
- Brown rice
